This ‘n’ That

By Kathryn S. Wenner
Kathryn S. Wenner, a former AJR associate editor, is a copy editor at the Washington Post.

While he determines his next career move, Robert J. Rosenthal, former editor of the Philadelphia Inquirer, teaches one day a week at Columbia University's student news service. "I would like to stay in the business, unless someone can convince me there's something better to do," he says. "Every time I go into a newsroom, I can feel my energy level rising."... "BusinessWeek" television, a syndicated program aired on a number of ABC-owned and affiliated stations, hires a new coanchor. Scott Engler, a former anchor for CNN Headline News and Seattle's KCPQ-TV, replaces Bill Tucker (see Bylines, October), who quit the show after two months.... Newsweek promotes senior writer Jeffrey Bartholet to foreign editor. Bartholet headed Newsweek's bureaus in Nairobi, Jerusalem and Tokyo.
