NBC loses correspondent Suzanne Malveaux to CNNs White House beat.

CNN snags Suzanne Malveaux from NBC and puts her on the White House beat, suddenly dismissing Major Garrett after two-and-a-half years. Malveaux, 35, who has been with NBC for six years, spent two years covering the Clinton White House, including the Monica Lewinsky saga. "It really tested your judgment, in terms of what you determined... was newsworthy," she says. Malveaux contrasts that story with the 2000 election ballot counts in Florida, which she also covered. In that case, "the bar was raised just a bit. People were talking about the electoral college on the bus, in cabs...that's [a] story that makes you proud to be in the profession." While working at NBC-owned WRC-TV in Washington, D.C., she won an Emmy Award for stories about a man retracing the path slaves took on the Underground Railroad to Canada. "I've always loved politics and the energy in Washington," says Malveaux, who grew up in the Maryland suburbs. "I know the beast and I love it."

If you had asked me to predict which brand would debut a new logo on its Fall 2017 runway, I wouldn't have guessed Fendi.
