Broken Campaign Reporting

Thank you for your intelligent and well-written assessment of the massive structural flaws in current campaign reporting (Full Court Press, February/ March). You articulated what has been driving me crazy for years now, but which I have not been able to put in so many words. What I can't understand is how the political press corps refuses to change or try a different approach. Is it that all reporters now want to be on television and won't find career happiness until they do, and this is the way TV operates?

Anyway, thanks again for the coherent view. Many of us appreciate it.
