Motto a Go-Go

By AJR Staff

"All the News That's Fit to Print" may be a fine and upstanding motto for a newspaper, but some papers have chosen something more obscure or colorful. Eric Newton, news historian at the Freedom Forum's Newseum, lists three categories for the signage: "Some are funny. Others are fiercely local. Still others make solemn promises to the readers." AJR culled these mottoes from the numerous supplied by the Newseum to create a fourth category: quirky.
