The Palm Beach Post snags one from the Miami Herald . Bill Rose , editor of Tropic, the Herald's recently shuttered Sunday magazine (see Bylines, November), becomes the Post's Metro editor. Post Managing Editor Tom O'Hara , a Herald alum, admits a bunch of former Herald staffers now with his paper ``ganged up to lure" Rose. His new recruit ``is one of the most beloved editors I've known in the business in 26 years," O'Hara says. For Rose, leaving the Miami daily after 23 years was tough. ``I love the people here; I love the town," he says. The Herald ``made every effort to keep me." But the opportunity of ``starting over again and really making an impact" at a southern Florida paper in a growing market, Rose says, proved the stronger draw. ###
