Boston's WBUR-FM hires seasoned television journalist Bill Delaney to cohost its midday newsmagazine, "Here and Now," with current cohost Robin Young. Delaney, most recently CNN's bureau chief in Beantown, brings years of overseas reporting experience to the program, which has expanded the international coverage it offers in addition to its cultural features. In his first week, Delaney, 51, interviewed reporters in Iraq and Ivory Coast, talked with Boston rocker Robin Lane, and helped out with a cooking segment. "It's just so miscellaneous," says Delaney, who spent three years based in Jerusalem and four-and-a-half in Berlin for CNN. Radio interviewing is "a fascinating discipline," he says. "You need to really hone questions. It's a different kind of pacing, a different kind of momentum to every encounter." ###
