He's only the second Washington Post publisher who's not a member of the Graham family, and the first to have an unpronounceable name. Boisfeuillet Jones Jr., 53, mercifully known to virtually everyone as "Bo," joined the paper in 1980 as vice president and counsel and most recently held the title of associate publisher. Previous Publisher Donald Graham says he and Jones, an Atlanta native, first met when they attended high school in Washington, D.C., where "Bo and Al Gore were the guards on a very bad St. Albans basketball team." Graham, who will remain chief executive officer of the Washington Post Co. and chairman of the newspaper, says Jones, Graham's Harvard classmate, has the trust and confidence of the newsroom. "There aren't a whole lot of people in any newspaper who've got great experience on both the news side and the business side," Graham says. Editorial Page Editor Fred Hiatt will continue to report to Graham.
