Much admired your perceptive (also kind and generous) review of "Unipress" (Books, August/September).

Your review has been called to the attention of former Unipressers on the "Downhold Wire," founded and named for the late Dick Harnett. I believe his widow Joyce will be pleased with your review, as will Billy Ferguson, with Hartnett the book's coauthor. Unipressers no doubt will be pulling for AJR during its current downhold.

In the case of journalism reviews, as in that of competing wire services, two is a hell of a lot better than one.
