Just What I Needed

I just came across your article about journalists covering – and reinforcing – conflict, and I had to thank you for it (First Person, August/September). I've been raising this issue with my journalism ethics students for several years now when I've talked about covering politics, but I've never before found a strong, succinct reading I could use to introduce my students to the problem – and a useful proposal for solving it.

I thought I'd let you know that my journalism and media ethics students are likely to be reading your article for several years to come. Thank you for giving me one more good teaching tool.
