AJR's Enda wins Mirror Award for In-Depth Reporting   

AJR senior contributing writer Jodi Enda won the John M. Higgins Award for Best In-Depth/Enterprise Reporting, one of Syracuse University's Mirror Awards for the best journalism about journalism. Enda's winning entry was "Staying Alive," her piece in AJR's Fall 2012 issue about the rise of nonprofit news outlets and their prospects for survival. Enda previously was a Mirror Award finalist three times. AJR Editor and Senior Vice President Rem Rieder was a Mirror finalist for the second consecutive year, this year in the commentary, traditional/legacy media category. Rieder's entry included two AJR columns and one that appeared in USA Today.

• Best Single Article – Digital Media: Joe Eskenazi, "Top 5 Ways Bleacher Report Rules the World!," San Francisco Weekly

• Best Single Article – Traditional/Legacy Media: Ken Auletta, "Citizens Jain," The New Yorker
